IWBMIso Introduced at Isotope Hydrology Symposium

The IWBMIso monthly water balance model was introduced at the 2015 International Symposium on Isotope Hydrology:  Revisiting Foundations and Exploring Frontiers in Vienna, Austria May 11-15 of this year.  Dr. Dagnachew Belachew with the Isotope Hydrology Section of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) authored and presented a paper on the model entitled “Isotope-enabled coupled catchment-lake water balance model, IWBMiso: description and validation.”  The full paper will appear in a pending edition of the Journal of Isotopes In Environmental and Health Studies.  IWBMIso as currently deployed is an eRAMS application running the model as an OMS/CSIP service.  It features basin, subbasin, and hydrologic response unit (HRU) delineation using TauDEM, lake area/volume coefficient calculations, Luca calibration, convenient automated methods to obtain CRU (climate) and MODIS (vegetation) data and generate input files.  IWBMIso is available as a VM install on personal computers or an on-line application (via www.rams.com)
