Services Deployed for NRCS Resource Stewardship
In March 2016 the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service brought their new Resource Stewardship application on-line for use by field conservationists in the agency’s county field offices. The application calls OMS/CSIP web services that compute water and wind erodibility potentials as well as nutrient soil leaching and runoff loss potentials. The OMS/CSIP deployment package also included soil and climate data for the agency Conservation Resources data mart. The deployment process involved development, testing, and staging on the CSU OMSLab CSIP platform, followed by validation testing, moving the deployment package to the NRCS continuous integration platform, and subsequently into production.
